…is showing on the SCI-FI channel and it’s almost up to the episodes that i haven’t seen.

The series also spawned a movie called Serenity, which i recommend watching before the series as you get more of the character background.

While at my Aunties today i borrowed 2 dvd's. The first is King Arthur which i have not seen and the second is The day after tommorrow which i have but warranted a re-visit as i really enjoyed it the first time.

I also discovered that auntie loves blood and gore movies which is strange as she is in her 70's, i'm not saying she should be all sound of music, but Full metal jacket and predator(just 2 of many) were not what i expected to find in her collection.

We have had Sky TV installed today so lots of great man tv to be found today, although i have yet to get my hands on the remote, it has been cartoons and shopping channels.

Tristan and Isolde- Got a sneaky peek at this movie if your looking for a lovey dovey movie it misses the mark and if your looking for a bit of medevil action it also misses the mark. I found the movie too slow there were times when issues were overplayed as though i would be unable to grasp what was going on and would need it spelt out. I did not connect with any character they all just seem to toddle along with a script that had its moments but either the direction or the acting was not up to much. On a positive note the locations and cinematography were superb. The movie has a rating of 12A which probably does it no justice, i would like to see the bits the director had to cut out to get this rating then we might have a movie.

Have sorted out the garden today put all the plants we tranfered from our old house into the garden, and repotted some of the bigger plants. Have also created a home from home for the Gunnera by digging quite a deep trench, putting a perforated bin bag into the bottom then planting, the bag helps to retain the water making it slightly waterlogged. The pot i was using for the gunnera is now going to be used for aquatic plants and who knows i may even try and sqeeze in a fish.

SERENITY- i discovered this movie while scanning WHSmith DVD rental site it is Sci-fi spaceships and piracy. Anyway i discovered that it is from a TV series called Firefly which i am now in the process of watching, i am not disappointed. There are also loads of sites dedicated to both i suppose if you like star trek are are into Sci-fi there worth a look try this one to start

Today has been quite strange, we started it by visiting granny as she phoned worried cos she had forgotten to send a card for our wedding aniversary we then went to a new soft play centre for the kids(granny paid). Anyway while there Mrs C found an advert for Sky which gave 3 months 1/2 price subscription and a portable DVD player(7″ screen). We had been considering getting it for a while and i had wanted a portable DVD for a while so it was a perfect time to get it in.
